Middlewich Folk and Boat festival 2009

This weekekend started of on Friday 19th June 2009
I had a 2 hour set to cover at The Golden Lion
we had a good crowd and passing trade I got finished around 11-15
then it was a speedy pack up and drive home because I had to be in work on Sat morning,
I didn't go back on Sat because of commitments,but I was up bright and early on Sunday morning 21st June 2009 and on my way back down the M6 for Breakfast with Dom at The Board Head,I really didn't ecpect such a turn out I ended up doing an unplugged session
very informal and very well recieved,I had a 5 hour gap to waite for my next gig at The Narrow Boat around 5-00pm so I soaked up the atmosphere of the festival, As I was setting up in The Boars Head I recieved a call from a guy asking me if I would come to The Board head and play The Middlewich song (This song was very well recieved this year for some reason) I told him to get over to the Narrow boat if he could get in,My set was split into 2 sessions because of other bands commitments but all in all I think we had a blast,I really did enjoy this years festival, I have made a lot of new friends and it was also great to see friends from past festivals turning up
and as I was driving home on Sunday night My phone rings and it was the same guy asking me would I come to The Golden Lion and sing The Middlewich song I told him the song has now been put to bed for another year and after a very long day I am on my way home,Job Done :-)
