Looking back on 2008,Wow what a year

Someone once said to me,Dom you should write a book well
if I ever do this will be a chapter, Looking back on 2008 for me it has been an amazing year,I am still writing songs although I am not going out as much performing them as much as I used o do,Simply because there are only 24 hours in a day. Even though there is a slight change in direction in what I am doing these days,I could never have predicted what has happened in 2008 and once again it was pure chance Right place Right time and the fact that I chose to say yes Where others my have said no,Back in June 08 on a Wednesday night I had been up for work at 04-30am I had played in Morcambe the night before so I got a good 4 hours kip that night, Thursday was going to be an early night for me until I got a call around 3-00pm asking can I be in Blackpool for 7-00pm,I remember my shoulders dropping and my whole body was shouting NO but my head said YES I will be there pal.I turned up had a great 20 min set and was asked to pop outside and meet a guy called Tony Jo who owns an Entertainments agency in Blackpool called HRH Entertainments,Tony had an idea to take the comedy out of my live set and with his help enhance it, he promised me if I was willing to learn and with his guidance within 6 months he would have me onstage with some of the greatest comedians in Britain and he was spot on,6 months down the line and this very weekend I have just come off stage after performing with Frank Carson,Mick Miller,Johnny Casson,Joe Longthorne & Cannon & Ball,Meeting Tony that night in June really has changed my life,I still think that these opportunities only come along once in a lifetime,And when they do then you have choices to make But if things don’t work out at least I will have no regrets.Time will tell if I have made the right choice by taking on this comedy challenge,I am having the time of my life making people laugh and anyone who knows me will tell you that’s something I have always done But if things don’t work out at least I will have no regrets.So for me this new career is a win win situation,And it also adds plenty more laughs to the live set,And who knows what 2009 will bring,I can't waite
