A nice story

After a very heavy week of gigs I come away with a little story I was told by Kevin Tarpey who runs the Full Circle Folk club in Manchester, I was one of two special guests there last night, I played my 45min set 1st and during the interval Kevin came over and said I knew there was something I had to tell you, the story was about his niece who is Moroccan she is 7 years of age and speaks 3 different languages Moroccan, French and English ,last week they came over to see Kevin and his family and during dinner her mother said to her sing uncle Kevin your best English song and ye you guessed it The Crusty cob came out of her mouth, she also explained that this was the song that her school mates were learning in there English lesson, Kevin had sent my Geese CD to his sister last year,I just played a gig at Asda in Eastland’s and I can recommend it to anyone I stood there playing this afternoon when a young lad around 7-8 who was in Asda with his Dad joined in with every word of geese, Masionette and Pubs down Oldham RoadHow good is that then a very satisfying feeling indeed
I can see a gig coming up on the Marrakesh express
